As I’m sitting here going through my end of year evaluation for my business, I’m making the necessary changes to my business model by writing out my business plan for 2012.
I realized that 2011 didn’t end the way I wanted, but I choose to celebrate those things that went right! Then find new and creative ways to make those things that didn’t go the way I planned go better for 2012.
Below are a few suggestions I have for you to make your 2012 business plan go better:
#1 – If you are not already doing it, create plans and systems for your business so that it can and will run more smoothly for you. If you’re like me and things doesn’t run as smooth as you like you will find yourself procrastinating and not accomplishing anything. If you put a plan in place in the beginning and tweak it as you go along you will find yourself working in a better frame of mind.
#2 – Break your plans and systems down to manageable tasks that way you will get them completed
and not just have them sitting in your head and this will also help with the procrastination.
#3 – Focus on those things that are working in your business instead of focusing on what is wrong. Once your mindset is thinking on the good then working on those things that you want to improve will not seem so bad or difficult to achieve!
#4 – Choose to surround yourself with those that will honestly support your vision and help to hold you accountable for the things that you want to put into place in a supportive, but determined way.
#5 – Keep your “What do YOU Want” see blog post http://blog.giveyourselfpower.com/?p=464 vision on our board, on your computer in front of you where you can always see it which will allow you to stay motivated to achieve your goal. I found that when I didn’t keep my “What I want my life to look like” in front of me I lost track of why I chose to go into business for myself in the first place.
#6 – Speak to yourself and think about you and your business in a kind and successful way! Our mindset and words plays an important role in our business and our success. Don’t allow yourself to speak to YOU in a way that you would not allow others to speak to you. Know that you are worth every bit of success that you set for yourself and your business!
#7 – 2012 is a year to cut out and off some people. If you’re like me, and love to learn, you find yourself on anybody and everybody’s mailing list and signing up for all they have to offer and in the process you find yourself overwhelmed and/or overloaded and confusion as to where to start or who to listen to. I would advise you to cut your list down for this year to one or two mentors/business coaches so that you can focus on achieving your goals. As my momma say they have theirs what do you have?
